How many dogs go Nutz ?
Permalink Closed

When Crufts was on and that program Fat Pets Missy our grey when nutz at the telly. When the dogs were in the ring and prancing Missy would bolt off the sofa to the TV then dash to the window to see where the dog went. This kept on happening so had to change the channel. Guess she was a little confused. Also on the Fat Pets program when the fat cat come onto screen Missy's hackles went up and she started to growl then dash to the TV so I'm gonna have to be careful that she doesn't go head first into the telly.

Its really funny sometimes when the dogs don't realise that the animals are not in the room. Ah that reminds me of another program Planet Earth last week when there were snow leopards on the tv and Missy again thought they were cats in the room.

Must admit the greys are So Amusing sometimes!

Do you have any stories of nutty dogs and the tv ? Would love to hear them.

Katrina

Katrina my Sunny is far to lazy to get up and go nuts at the TV that would mean her having to leave the couch for something other than food and a walk. She did lift her head and cock an ear (just one, two would have been to much effort) when crufts was on though. It was the first time we had seen her watching the TV.

Landess and Sunny.

Must admit I've never noticed Zak or Missy watching TV until Crufts except for a yapping dog or meowing cat on a show. Missy now constantly watches to tv in the hopes of seeing something to chase

Ziggy has no interest in TV. Like Sunny it would interupt some serious zzz time!

Vernon however loves animal planet and always watches the Animal Cops with me. He also likes Monkey Business which is about Monkey World Sanctuary in Dorset. Monkey He responds to the dogs barking on TV sometimes. I suppose they sound like the kennels he just came from.

Max on one occasion seen & heard a dog on the TV & when it disappeared off the screen he went running through to the back door a little gruffly!!  (mmm.... where did it go??!)

Now, sometimes he takes a bit of interest when dogs are on the TV but it soon fades away as I think he realises there's no threat as they're definitely not coming in my house!!

dave and daisy like animal planet too - especially, like vernon, the Animal Cops programme.  i kid myself that they're concerned for the animals but i really think it's because there's usually some barking going on!  that gets them off the sofa and staring into the garden cos they can't understand where the noise is coming from !!

Forgot to say that when Vernon first came here he went to the back of the TV looking for the monkeys. He must have thought they were inside it
Doubt he'd ever seen a TV before.

When planet Earth was on last week Chad was totally glued to it. I hate to think what he thought to the snow leopards. I joked with my lot that it was a horror movie with cats of that size! lol

Em,Tig and Chad xx
