Monthly Dog Walk, Edinburgh - Sunday 26th March
Permalink Closed

Hi Folks, I'm really happy to announce that the Greyhound Awareness League's FIRST regular monthly EDINBURGH dog walk will take place next Sunday (26th) at Holyrood Park in Edinburgh.

Following on from the success of our Glasgow walks this seemed the logical progession, I do hope all our East Coast friends enjoy the walks as much as our West coasters do our Glasgow ones!

These walks will be a REGULAR feature of GAL's events calander, taking place on the LAST SUNDAY of EVERY month!

There's no fixed plans for the event, just lots of hounds walking round the park!

WHERE: Holyrood Park in Edinburgh, meet in the St Margarets Loch Car Park (thats the Meadowbank end of the park!)

WHEN: Sunday 26th March @ 12 noon.

Your 'hosts' for the Walk will be Siouxsie Parry (GAL's follow up co-ordinator) and Carole Robinson, they'll be present in the car park between 12 - 2 to greet everyone.

Hope everyone has a great time!

Now for the 'official bit' - As this is an official GAL Event ALL dogs must be kept on lead, no bitches in season are allowed and if your dog requires a muzzle please ensure they wear one.

If you need further info on our first Edinburgh Walk or any of the subsequent ones please email Siouxsie - siouxsie@gal.org.uk

Oh that sounds good.  We're looking to buy Daz a bright coloured lightweight coat for the days when he doesn't need his winter one.  We're already realising how invisible a black dog becomes when he disappears amongst the trees let alone at night time when even on his lead all we can see are little white paws trotting alongside (he does wear a fluorescent collar and Peter wears a hi vis jacket but you can never have too much visibility can you

Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Looking forward to our first doggie walk tomorrow.  Sure Tilly is too - hard to tell as she's sound asleep as usual! (guess she's preparing herself for loosing an hours sleep with the clocks changing!)

Hopefully see loads of you tomorrow - it'll be nice to put faces to names!

Well! I'm very excited now, the GAL 1st regular monthly Edinburgh dog walk starts tomorrow (as if you didn't know )

I am really looking forward to meeting many new faces and also putting faces to names that I already know.

And don't worry if you are not able to make the walk I will post a report and hopefully many photos of the gathering, which will just make the folk that are missing this one make sure they attend the next one at Holyrood Park.

Just a quick note to say 'Thanks' in advance to the folk (and you know who you are) that have been helped get this off the ground.

Siouxsie

Lets hope the weather dries up for us.
