Hi All
This is my first post as its usually Kathy who posts stuff about Daz. Anyway, it's Daz's birthday today and I've bought him a kennel fund brick to celebrate. He's five today! So Happy birthday Daz! And remember to vote for the birthday boy on the dog show!

Hi all


Thanks for Daz's birthday wishes.  Glad Peter now has his own identity and has broken the ice so I won't have to keep calling him through to say 'is this what you wanted it to say?'


We didn't actually buy him anything special other than his very special brick of course because we reckon he gets spoiled as if it's his birthday every day really ;)  But he did get some of our dinner time lamb mixed in with his kibble which he really REALLY liked almost as much as his pig's ears (that's the last time I give him prime cut lamb  if he can't tell it's better than a pig's ear )


He looked at me very perplexed as I went down to him in the morning singing Happy Birthday to him.  He had that 'what's it all mean? I can tell this is supposed to be good but why?' look on his face.


For some reason yesterday was the day he discovered basking in the sunshine.  It's certainly not the first day the sun has shone since we got him in November (though feels like close to it) but he's now taken to seeking out patches of sunshine, particularly the slim one that lands behind where I sit at the computer and lazing in them till he bakes too hot and has to rush away.  Perhaps he thinks now he's five that's the sort of thing older dogs do



Hi and welcome to Dazfan (Mandy) who I've known for some years on another forum and I told her all about Daz going in the online dogshow this weekend.  Daz sends a hearty tailwag to all his loyal fans

That is beautiful.  It is so bittersweet to see rescued dogs discover the good things in life. 


My Chow/Collie's latest discovery has been the airconditioning vents in the house and car.  If the AC is on, she lays near them.  It gets a little problematic in the car, though, because while she is trying to feed her need for cool air, I am trying to not crash the car into a tree.


Someday, when Daz tours the world to meet his loyal fans, I will meet him.

Happy Birthday Daz!!! Hope you've had a good one.  It's such a great idea buying a kennel fund brick for his birthday.  May do it for Drummer's birthday next week and Tilly's in June.  More people should def do it!
