It was great that there was such a lot of contestants from near and far, and it was a pleasure to see many splendid photos (all special in their own way),  and many people responding by casting their votes.   I was pleasantly surprised the amount of votes Tyler & Max received, and wasn't expecting it.

I appreciate that the system used did allow everyone (not just forum members) to enter & vote, but I personally felt it only fair to put a score for every photo, not just some, and it was very obvious that some only voted for certain dogs

Tyler's photos were lovely and quite close to being a winner as far as I can remember. I loved the one of her in the garden mid action.

Yes, I also went through them all giving every dog a mark.  I was about the third person voting at the time I did it and was surprised that even with my rather high marking system the scores were still coming up so much lower than I had voted.  All looked fair enough though and I appreciate all the work that went into making it work and brilliant to hear it raised so much money.

Yes! I totally agree. Folks have obviously worked hard to put the whole thing together

I couldn't make a definite choice in any of the categories, so I just had to give each photo a mark. The standard of the photos taken was superb and some people needed a lot of patience to catch their dogs in a particular way or with a certain expression.

It's been a great contest and wonderful to see entries from all over UK and abroad. And to boot, it's made a few welcome bob for the Kennel Fund. Can't wait for the next one - I might even have a digital camera by then!

BTW Carol - hope Whistler isn't hungover LOL!

I totally agree with that. I obviously gave my Casper 10/10 but I also made sure I voted for every dog as I don't think it would have been fair otherwise.

But it doesn't really matter who voted for who etc now as I think the Dog Show was a great idea, it raised a great amount of cash for the Kennel Fund and I had great fun looking at all the beautiful pictures. Well done to the organisers, and well done to the winners.
