Doh, I put my first introduction on the 'your dogs' page because I invited advice at the same time. Better do it properly now:
Bonnie, born Nov 2000, lurcher x border collie, came to us from the RSPCA at 10 weeks old. Her mum had thrown herself under a car when the pups were only 2 weeks... Bonnie is my first own dog (I grew up with dachshounds followed by Irish Setters), and is incredibly easy to train. She has a huge vocabulary and a whole lot of tricks (most of which she came up with herself).
On Easter Sunday, we adopted Piper. My number one daughter has a weekend job as a kennel maid on Sunday mornings, so it was inevitable that we would get a greyhound sooner or later. She picked a lovely one, born Oct 2003, brindle, sweet and gentle. She thinks she's a lapdog. Outdoors she follows Bonnie like a shadow, and is learning house rules faster than I'd hoped.
