My first post and in fact my first visit to the Forum pages in ages. I've not been away or lost just very busy with other GAL stuff.
Anyway I have a new foster hound - Vince. He has been staying with me since the 12th of April.
Vince lived for over 6 years in racing kennels and briefly enjoyed a 2 month stay in a new home. Unfortunatley circumstances changed so Vince came to stay with me.
He is a real gent, Impeccable manners. He was a bit overwhelmed at first by my 5 dogs attentions.
I though he might annoy Snap and Cleo as he was not neutered. But no problems at all. Top dog, Mick, had a quick show of dominance but Vince id not respond. Turned the other cheek.
Vince had a slight limp in his right leg when he arrived but with rest light excercise it's no longer a problem.
He's great with all small dogs, children, traffic, thunder etc and is possibly ok with cats.
All in all one of the best!!!!!
He is also half brother to my oldest girl Snap - not that she bothers
Charles
Here are some shots of Vince. Many of you, no doubt, wonder how I deal with 6 hounds in a west end Glasgow flat. The photo's show part of the answer. There are 2 acres of private grassed open space surrounding my flat. 2 steps from my front door and we are on the grass. My hounds think it is their property. Beware other dogs.
I've had the pleasure of meeting vince and he is as lovely in real life as in the photos. I hope someone can give him a forever home soon as he is a great dog.
