Monthly Dog Walk, Glasgow - Sunday 4th June
Permalink Closed

Hi Folks, Just a reminder that the next monthly GLASGOW Dog walk takes place next Sunday 4th June

If you haven't been on one yet you are missing a fab day, it's great to see SO many hounds doing their thing! The walk is round the loch in the park which is about 3 miles (of course you could just hang around the car park like some folk gassing for a few hours or only go part of the way round!)

WHERE: Strathclyde Park in Glasgow, meet in the first car park on right hand side past the Watersports Centre

WHEN: Sunday 4th June @ 11am.

SEE YOU ALL ON THE 4TH!.....Remember if you can't make it on the 4th don't worry, the walks (as last year) will be held on the FIRST SUNDAY of each month at the same location right the way through 2006....

Hi Folks thanks to everyone that turned up today and special thanks to the volunteers who brought homeless dogs from the kennels, there was about a million dogs in attendance today (ok slight over exageration but it was extremely busy!) It was so warm to I think most folks got fried! As usually I only rememberd to take some piccies right at the end when everyone was leaving and most of them have turned out an interesting violet colour (must buy new camera..) Was good to see so many new faces and new dogs today so hope you all come back next month!

Here's the few piccies that turned out OK, some big hairy hounds here if your into that sort of thing (Tilly & Pilgrim - what a pair!) and also premature birthday wishes (8 next Saturday) go to Freddy (first piccy)....

Those hairy things need a good shave!

Anyone know where that cute greyhound toy came from...? It's smart!

It certainly was a good turnout and good to catch up with everyone.

Highlight of the walk was seeing Tara and Pilgrim playing (or boxing!)

Pics are great, love wee Dixie what a cracker and all the homeless hounds were so well behaved.

Agree with Glenda about the greyhound toy, where do you folk find these things?

Pilgrim was absolutely shattered after the walk, not a peep out of him for the rest of the night. Can I please borrow Tara indefinitely?

The toy groo..............isn't he just the best behaved ............... is from the Retired Greyhound Trust, (he's a teddy version of their logo) His name is Homer and Kai is besotted with him.

I liked when Tara kept bumpin her bum at/onto Pilgrim!

I don't think you would be saying that for long. I could just imagine them teaching each other lots of bad habits and causing havoc.

Dave,

Here, as promised, is the public apology .......... I'm very sorry!  I got Freddy's birthday wrong, it's actually 10 June not 4th!  Sorry, sorry, sorry! What a terrible owner I am!

Some lovely photos, Dave. I'd love to steal the one of myself and Pilgrim, if only to see how many of our friends realise it isn't Tara I'm with.

Cheers, Graham

Super photos of the walk on Sunday, Dave! Just loved seeing Pilgrim and Tara boxing too! Thoroughly enjoyed blethering to everyone, as usual.

Loved the photos - the photo of wee Dixie is great (the smile is amazing). And Tara and Pilgrim look fab together.

Wish I had made the walk.
