GAL have been invited, at short notice, to go along to the Carmunock Gala Day on Saturday the 10th June (from 12 till 5) . 


There will be the usual Gala events and apparently there is even a fun dog show!


And the best bit is that the animal charity fundraising group Animals Matter will be donating the proceeds from their tombola to the kennel fund and GAL volunteers will be there to raise funds and the profile of the Kennel Fund.


So, if anyone is not busy this Saturday and feels like a day out we'd be delighted to see you there!

It is apparently well signposted and is being held in the town green which will be easy found as its only a tiny place!

I live in Cambuslang which a a stones throw from carmunock. Barring the weather being too hot for Angus and Jenna, I'll should be able to make it for a bit.

The total amount raised from the tombola at Carmunnock Gala day is £413.96!  It was a really hot day and the volunteers from Animals Matter worked hard in the heat to raise the money.  I was there for the afternoon and came home exhausted but pleased with the results.

Just got an e-mail from Animals Matter confirming the total of £413.96 which they will be donating to the Kennel Fund.


May I thank the GAL volunteers (and dogs!!) who came along at such short notice, and the volunteers from Animals Matter who all worked flat out for our cause all day.  It was a great day from all accounts and the total is fantastic!
