We have a can collecting spot outside Asda Robroyston on Sunday 11th June.


The 2 original volunteers unfortunately cannot make it and it looks like I will have to cancel this fundraising opportunity for the kennels.


Is there anyone who can spare a couple of hours of Sunday?

Don't know Robroyston at all, can you let me know where the Asda store is exactly?

Probably best time for me will be 12 - 2 , will maybe ask Joyce if she wants to come along for a couple of hours . She can sell some trolley tokens, they'd be really handy at Asda.

I'll owe GAL a "2 kennel dogs Langbank pick up for an event" for you 2 coming forward at such short notice.


Coming from the south side you get on to the M8 and take the M80, then take the 1st cut off for Bishopbriggs.  You'll see Asda on the left hand side.

Denise & I collected a total of £196.66 today at Asda Robroyston.  Not a bad amount for two volunteers and one dog (thanks Hogan for being an absolute star today!)


I am putting my feet up for the rest of the day as it has been an exhausting  weekend with Carmunnock Gala Day and the Can Collection.

A quick thank you to Denise and Joyce for doing this can collection at literally a moments notice.  Got there in the end after a Saturday night full of phoning round for a spare can - thanks Kathleen.

Just a quick post to encourage volunteeres to join the next can collection.

It is a great fund raiser and very enjoyable. If you are not comfortable taking money from people, don't worry I'll take anyone's money!! As you all know by now. Just bring your dog and do the PR bit.

Have to say I just stood and watched in total awe at the ease Joyce could separate folk from their money. She's a natural. I was a bit of a spare part but still thoroughly enjoyed myself.
