After the protein question coming up just recently again, Jim (Arden Grange) was very kind to give me some fact sheets that Arden Grange have on the subject. There is quite a bit of info, so I thought instead of copying and pasting, it would be easier if anyone would like to read AG's view then please email me at siouxsie@gal.org.uk

One thing I would like to say here is a link between high levels of protein in a dog’s diet and true hyperactivity has yet to be proven.

Hi Siouxsie,

This is surely because Hyperactivity is a clinical condition. There has always been confusion between Hyperactivity and over activity. I see a great many dogs that are over active which is often a direct result of incorrect feeding. On some occasions all I have reccommended is to adjust the dog's diet and the 'problem' has been solved. Oh how I wish most cases were so simple!

Worst case scenario? 3 yr old dog fed 3 x pd on puppy pouches mixed with puppy complete followed by copious amounts of meat and cheese treats for doing absolutely nothing!!!

May I have a copy of those details please?

Viv
