As the beach is very seasonal topic, I would like to share our photos of Max & Tyler. We managed to make the most of the lovely weather through the week at Croy shore near Ayr.
They had a brilliant time - the photos say it all!
This is the 1st time Max & Tyler have been off lead in an open area, but this is only after months of recall training and trips to Bellahouston dog enclosure.
Both dogs look fantastic and it's obvious they are having so much fun and loving every minute of it. Well done to you and them both that they came back when called, obviously they know where the love is!
Lovely to see them having so much fun together! I love to see them run.
We took Vernon and Ziggy to Bellahouston dog run a week ago. Vernon had a ball and after ten minutes of mad sprinting lay down on the grass in the sun. That's the first time he's been tired since I got him!
Poor Ziggy wouldn't go in the gate. I think it might have reminded him of the traps at the race track? It was a shame as he would have had such fun with Vernon. Shame there is only one way in.

We had that problem with Bob, there are a couple of ways around it: -
1. Lift him over ! (Bob's a big boy, so not the preferred option) 2. use treats & he'll only go in if I stand in the gate so he's squeezing past me, if you know what I mean, kind of like this:
xxxxxxxxxxxxxx x xxxxxx __///////xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx x ME ```` xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Hopefully this will be kindof clear as you've seen the gate!
I usually use a lead to secure the gate once we're in as well, as Ruby knows how to work it to get out!
Wow! they look like they enjoyed themselves thoroughly, what lovely dogs and how wonderful that they have responded so well to recall training. It's always a thrill to see them running free -hugs
Great pics Lita and John. Especially that last one of them shoulder to shoulder - they look totally relaxed together and in tune with each other. Lovely to see.
These are great photos of Max and Tyler having the time of their lives together at the beach! I agree with Nora - there's no finer sight than seeing your dogs playing chases and having lots of fun.
