One of the fun things that happened at the Edinburgh Hot Dog Show was the appearance of a family with a deerhound and a wolfhound. We chatted to them and compared our dogs, and took some photographs so everyone can see that Tara really is a cross between the two.
From left to right, a three year old Deerhound male, a five year old Wolfhound female (both held by their owner) and Tara, our Wolfhound-Deerhound cross (held by Andy). Tara's a bit further from the camera, so it's difficult to see, but she was taller than the wolfie, though we were told that she was a small female wolfhound.
What a brilliant picture. I don't have any experience of Wolfhounds or Deerhounds, there is one lives just round the corner from me who looks very much like she could be a cross between the two just like Tara but the owner tends to change direction when he see's me walking Neo which is a shame because i'd love to see her a bit closer up
Ahhh, me and Barrie were kinda arguing whether Tara was a deerhound or a wolfhound, that explains it. Barrie fell completely in love with her at the Edinburgh dog show. She is a beautiful girl.

We get lots of people do that, they stand an one says it's a wolfhound and the other, says no its a deerhound, and we get to say yes your both correct. We get to chat to loads of people that way.
