Hi Folks, you've probably read elsewhere on the forum about Emma and Tiger and Tiger's battle with cancer that sadly came to an end yesterday, Emma has sent a poem and some pictures in memory of Tiger..
Listen - can you hear your name? He's calling you - my friend Although you're slipping from me now - This is not the end.....
A new life is about to start Where you'll be free from pain Old-age - you'll shrug off like a cloak And you'll be young again.
Listen - can you hear Him call? His voice is soft and low And as you leave this earth behind Remember - as you go...
I'll not forget you my dear friend Though we may be apart Your mem'ry will remain with me - Forever, in my heart.
Listen - He is calling still Reaching out and so... Take His hand and slip away It's time for you to go.
So many happy times we've shared These, sadness can't erase I feel that we're together still Tho' we've gone separate ways.
I'm listening - but there's no sound You must have heard His voice We both knew that the time had come We knew there was no choice.
You've breathed your last - your eyes are closed But this is not the end... For life at Rainbow Bridge awaits Rest in Peace - dear friend.
Dave, thanks for posting that - a beautiful poem and a beautiful dog.
I'm pleased that Tiger found such a wonderful home with Emma, too few have such an opportunity he did. She had the courage necessary to do the right thing by her boy and, tho it hurts like hell now, in time she will have the comfort of knowing that it was the right decision at the right time.
My thoughts are with Emma and her family at this very sad time
I only hope I can be as brave if I am faced with the same decision - Emma will be my inspiration then.
Very sad poem, felt tears coming to my eyes when i was reading it. Tiger was a very lucky boy to have found Emma and family and i can imagine the pain your feeling right now as i had to let my old girl go last year. You feel awful at the time but you know deep down you have done the right thing for the dog.
Run free at the bridge Tiger xx

Emma it is with a heavy heart that I say to you how sorry I am to hear of Tigers passing. Please take comfort in the thought that he is at rest, and the poem you have dedicated to him says it all. Take care and remain sure. Nora

Just had the call to say that Tiger's ashes will be returned to vet today. Set me off again, I am going to try and pick them up tomorrow. Still missing the wee chap
poor Em, anything will set you off for a while . At least you're closer to resting Tiger and after that closure, maybe things will get better a bit quicker for you.
