Next Glasgow walk is next Sunday (6th) be there or be somewhere else
Walk starts at 11am from the first car park on the right just past the Watersports Centre in Strathclyde Country Park, Glasgow (or Motherwell as I keep getting reminded)..
If you haven't been to a walk yet it's great fun and a great chance to meet some other hounds and speak to people as obsessed with them as you are your own.
The Walk round the loch is 4 miles or you can chill out with a shorter walk and gas to me in the carpark.
Someone remind me to take pictures this month (shiny new camera hopefully being delivered on Thursday )
I noticed on a previous post it said the next 2 walks in Glasgow (being July and August) would start in the Visitor Centre car park, can you confirm this for me?
Also, I shall be armed with a measuring tape so an 'expert' can measure Brook, the coat I got her istoo big and she was not impressed when I made her wear it one night when it was raining.
Also Dave, just to make you aware, the bed I got with Brook is way too big for her, and I got another one for her, so do you mind if I bring the previous bed along with me (if it fits in my car) and donate to GAL?
Another point, will we be able to pay for stuff from the GAL shop at the August Walk?
Thanks, and I know I waffle, but better to put it all down in writing so I don't forget anything on Sunday!
Dave will surely correct me if I am wrong here but here goes:
The regular monthly walk at Strathclyde will start at the usual place - from the first car park on the right just past the Watersports Centre (this is on August 6th).
Then on the 13th August which is the date for the Summer GALa will take place on the large grass area to the left hand side of the Watersports Centre.
I think it was only the July walk that was moved to the Visitors Centre due to another event being held over at the Watersports Centre.
Hi Carole, Siouxsie is right the walk will start at our usual place which is the car park next to the Watersports Centre. Can't wait to meet Brook, we'll get her sized up for a coat no worries! Bring the bed along, happy to accept all donations! I'll also have a very small selection of items from the GAL shop with me!
We went along to the walk today, and it was lovely to meet Brook and Murphy there, having followed their pics and stories just recently. We saw Dave trying lots of collars on the beautifully clipped Murphy!! and I think Brook was going to get a raincoat. Both lovely dogs looking a bit bemused with all the big Greys around them!
Was really looking forward to going today (for the first time in ages) but I'm sick no well with a throat infection. Will be OK for next week I hope. Vernon is lying beside me on the couch helping me feel better. Hope everyone had a great day.

Yes Murphy settled on the blue celtic one! He is so funny when I go up to my folks house cause he just thinks Teddy and Sassy are a couple of dafties! He's such an old man!
Hi Folks, thanks for everyone that came along today, odd kinda weather, very warm and raining at the same time, good old Scotland My shiny new camera DID arrive but the shiny new memory card for said camera didn't so I only took a couple of piccies today, first one is recently adopted Sassy, second one is Tara who arrived in foster care yesterday and the last one is the lovely Murphy (before he got his fab new collor and lead set )
