Ive been a member here for a few weeks and thought it was time I introduced my own dogs. They are all crossbreeds. I do not own a greyhound, but when we were thinking about getting a 2nd dog, me and my dad visited Bothwell Bridge at an open day type thing they had back in 2004.
Here is Bonnie. Some say she has some whippet in her. She is 8 years old, and my family adopted her from the Dogs Trust, West Calder back in Feb 1998.
This is Austin, he is 5 years old. We adopted him from SSPCA Bothwell Bridge in May 2004. He has had 3 previous owners, was handed into the centre for running away. He is the perfect dog, Not aggressive but very very protective, especially of children.
This is Keira, she is 4 yrs old. I was on work placement at the Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home in April 2005, when Keira came in as a stray and was never claimed. I worked with her almost everyday I was there and became very attached to her. I asked my dad thinking he would say no, as we already had 2 dogs, but he said yes, so she came home with me on my last day of my placement.
And this is Dakota, who is 17 months old. She was handed into my work in September 2005. She has a hip problem, and she had an operation in October last year to correct it. She cannot jump, and when she runs she is slower then the others, but this doesnt stop her enjoying herself. She will run along with them while out walking, she enjoys her ball being thrown for her, and she loves playing down at the beach.
Vicky your dogs are fantastic and well done you for rescuing them all...Bonnie has lovely big eyes hasn't she. They are all gorgeous though, you must be very proud of your bunch
Lovely photos of your dogs Vicky they are all gorgeuos. Austin looks so like a dog that we met at Yellowcraig today, he is sooooo handsome. Hope to meet you all one day. Nora

What a lovely bunch and Bonnie is just that......bonnie! I absolutely love grey faces. Definately whippet mix. Your other hounds lovely too but I must say if Bonnie was sat in a dog home I wouldn't have walked away without her!
Lovely dogs - your Bonnie looks a bit like my Bonnie (the lurcher in the little photo on the left)! My Bon is only 5 1/2, but has had a grizzly face for years already.
