This morning we fostered Badger. We were worried Kiera would be a grumpy girl and make things hard for Badger to settle in but hey 2 hours down and its like a jigsaw. Everyone fits. Kiera has already to snuggle in bed with Badger but he resisted her charms. He is a beautiful boy was obviously well looked after in his last home It shows with how settled he has been We will keep you posted with how he is doing.

Hi Jenn, if you go to the main GAL site - www.gal.org.uk - then click on 'how to adopt' then 'see the dogs' then 'males' you'll see Badger (and some of his homeless friends!)..
Well done for fostering Badger he looks a lovely lad. Glad he has settled so well with you already. Looking forward to reading all bout how he is getting on with you.
Well done for taking on Badger. He looks lovely. I'd love to foster but no room in my wee flat. When i move house end of September to a house with a garden i may be able to reconsider

Ok you've all got me busted now.... I am useless on this computer !!! Then again life is too short to spend too much time stuck on here! I'm going out for a big walk after dinner, it has been far too hot today for Chad to go far. We had to end our walk early due to excessive panting (him and Kevin not me!)!
But Badger is sweet, well done Lindsey for finding room in your heart and your home but then again so is Brock - black and whites are lovely.I also missed Sprite,Tommy, Louie and Banjo - all black like my lovely Charlie - Beautiful! Jamie is a little like Tig was... and his tail definately looks Tig-like from the picture a big happy wag! I missed them all because I didn't realise I could scroll (der).
I'm sorry though... if I were nearer it would have to be Blue Boy - I bet he gets a home pronto! He is soooo gorgeous!
What lovely doggies (all) - if only gal did home deliveries cos I'd have one tomorrow!!!
Good luck with Badger let us all know how he settles in and what naughtiness he finds!
Quick update on Badger's first day. Looks like he's feeling quite settled - has slept most of the afternoon and has eaten all his dinner. We had visitors this afternoon who thought he was a smashing and handsome big chap. We took him for a walk with our lot (Dylan, Kiera & Millie) and he has been introduced to Cara (a ****er Spaniel) which went well. Kiera has stopped being crabbit and is actually quite taken by him.
Hi Lindsay and Helen - sounds like Badger has slotted right in, and even won over crabby Kiera! Fantastic! I look forward to hearing all about his progress, and possibly meeting you in the park in the next few weeks.
Had such a laugh at Blue Boy (further down the page from Badger). He's so laid back he couldn't even be bothered standing, or sitting, to have his photo taken.
Its now Monday evening and Badger has settled in well and seems to be enjoying the company of Dylan, Kiera and Millie. He is such a laid back affectionate big chap.
Whoever becomes Badger's forever owner will be a very lucky person!!
Bye from Lindsay, Helen, Dylan, Kiera, Millie & Badger
Here is a picture taken of Millie and Badger. As you can see Badger has adjusted well into his foster home and enjoys nothing better than a long snooze on a comfy carpet or bed.
There is great and some not so great news regarding Badger. The great news is he has found and a lovely forever home with Mel in Glasgow. The sad thing is he is sucha great dog he will be missed by Helen and I. Oh and Im sure his two mistresses Millie and Kiera will miss him as will Dylan. We fostered Badger on August 5th and he goes to his forever home on Sept 5th but in that short month we have so many happy memories of the big boy. He couldnt negotiate stairs but thanks to our tribe he is a dab hand on the stairs now. He will be a great companion to Mel and her family :)
There is other great news too I should add that means we are free to foster another wey hey
You did well by him and now it is his turn to take over were you left off. It is fantastic that he has found his forever home and you can pat yourself on the back that you helped him. Now you have room to do it all over again and make another dog very happy. WELL DONE. Nora
