Thanks to Dave, we managed to trace Rosie's family tree. Her racing name was Target Affair and she was born on the 11th of June '04. We found some photos of her Dad, Droopys Vieri, and Grandad (dam's side) , Frightful Flash, and thought you lot would like to see where Rosie gets her good looks from!!
Pearly's grandad (on her sire's side) was Frightful Flash as well. She and Rosie do look quite similar in their markings, except Pearly is blue and white. Pearly has that two-tone tail thing going on too.

They certainly are beauties! We found out that she has a half sister called Missy who is also on the forum! Its great when you can find their littermates and relatives
Rosie really is a lovely girl. I think it's great finding out so much about them, gives you a real sense of their history. I spent ages tracing Neo's past and it's amazing the info Dave comes up with!!
GREAT PHOTS OF TWO BEAUTIFUL GIRLS AND SO NICE TO FIND OUT THEIR HISTORY. The fact that Cas has no tatoo we can not trace anything about her except we know that she was originaly found as a stray somewhere in Glasgow. BOO HOO poor Cas. Nora

Rosie really does look like her Dad and Grandad. I love her markings
I found these pictures of Sunnys Dad Staplers Jo. He is also Daisy, Tilly and Marthas Grandad, and Decons (homeless page) dad. Staplers Jo was Dad to Larkhill Jo who fathered alot of dogs.

It really is interesting to find out their history isn't it.
I looked on the web site greyhound sire lines. I then went under dogs and put in Chads name 'Dunmara Admiral' it brought up his whole family tree!I think his kennel name Chad comes from the Ch of Chart King (his Dad) and the ad of the Admiral part of his own name! His Dad looks to have been quite a winner in his time and has sired lots of dogs.
I knew he had good racing blood in him because I was told that after he fractured his leg and could no longer race he was returned to Ireland to breed from. Here he refused to eat and was sent back home as he was so unhappy. This made them nervous about me taking him as he was such a whiner. He must have known he was on to a good thing here because he settled in really quickly.
The kennels I got him from had agreed (as they do with all their dogs) to keep him if no home were found. The kennels actually persuaded the owner when we lost Charlie and went looking that he would get a far better life with us. The owner was reluctant as the kennels looked after him so well! Both the owner and the kennels are in contact with us and look forward to us going away so that they get to see him for a couple of weeks. I just wanted you all to know that there are some caring people involved in raceing too. I know raceing is bad and I don't agree with it but not everyne involved is as unscrupulous as those in the press recently.
You are welcome to have a look, I am useless at putting pictures on here as you all know, you may also find your own dogs on there!Especially if you have their race name or ear tattoo details.
I only just discovered last night that Tigger has Frightful Flash as a grandad and also has Staplers Jo on her mum's side. We're all just one big happy family!!!
Millie and her Dad are really alike . Is it Millies brother and sister that are on the homless pages at the moment? I wish I could find a photo of Sunnys mum (Parknahown Betsy) I would love to find more of Sunnys family.
Did you find out who Millie gets her extra long tongue from?

Millie is related to my Chad then (Chart King is his Dad too)
Chad is nothing like him though he is a fawn Chap and quite the most handsome boy although the proud stance is the same.Chad looks far more like Sierra although she is not his Mum.
Fascinating stuff. Love the picture of Staplers Jo (Daisy's Grandad) - she looks so much like him - as well as looking like her Auntie Sunny
Where did you find the pics? I've been looking for one of my new baby, Tom's Ghost, so that you can see who we will be adopting in September (fingers crossed that all goes well, see post in "About Your Dogs").
I've searched the Greyhound Breeding and Database. Although he's listed and it gives his family tree, there isn't a photo of him
