Well done to all the class winners and runners up!
Now onto the GALa King and Queen - this was open to all the winners of the previous and the winners were (drum roll please...)
GALa KING 2006 - NICKY Frew
GALa QUEEN 2006 - ANNIE Craik
here's both winners together..
I've got to say a huge well done to Nicky and Annie's owners, Nicky was only adopted from GAL at the start of June this year, he came out of our kennels with the usual kennel coat, well 10 weeks later Nicky is gleaming! You could see your face in his coat, he's just lovely. Not forgetting Annie too, she was adopted from GAL as a 12 week old pup 18 months ago and she's just stunning! Was also good to see 2 black dogs winning!!
Congratulations, everyone! I thought the judge was great and it was wonderful to see that he had a liking for black dogs, who often don't get a look-in.
All in all, it was a fantastic day out. Poor Harry is still completely exhausted and didn't even get out of bed to greet me in the morning. And I promise you all that I'm not forcibly strangling him in that piccie, honest! He's doing his usual leaning-in for a cuddle.
Well done to all the hard-working volunteers. Nice one.
Well done to all the winners, all greatly deserved.
As Fiona said it's great to see the blacks winning and i'm only sorry Neo wasn't there to compete....Dave can we have a black loving judge for next year too and i promise not to let Neo out of the door for a month before the GALa so he can't injure himself before hand. I'm sure he decided the competition was just too tough!!
Great pics, and more thanks for all the work and effort to get these out as well. The judge had a tough job and seemed to be tireless. The pics and faces say it all though.
Congratulations to all the winners and well done to the organisers, it looks like everyone had a fantastic day and the weather was kind, great photos Dave you can give your self a pat on the back for that marathon stint. Nora

What fantastic photos. All the dogs look fabulous and I really don't envy the judges their jobs. I don't think I could have picked out winners as they are all so beautiful.
Jennifer, that is a lovely photo of Toby sitting looking up at you when he won his class.
I also think it is a fantastic shot of Zak when he came second in the Greyhound dog class. I love the head tilted slightly to one side the the ears sticking up!
It was a great day, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and we're delighted that it raised lots of money. Again, here's hoping that the applications work out.
