The Edinburgh Super Dog 2006 Show take place on September 10th on the Cammo Estate, Cammo Road, Edinburgh. The events opens at 12 midday with the first class at 1pm. There's lots of fun classes, expert dog trainers, vets, Produce Stall, Hug a Huskie and lots lots more - including the GAL info stall and some skinny dogs!
All funds from the show go to the Dog Aid Society of Scotland.
This is a big event and it's great that GAL have been invited to spread the good word, hope to see some of you there - we'll probably be looking for a few helpers with their dogs to stand round the stall and look pretty so if you'd like to help out please let me know!
Hi Folks, just a reminder about the Edinburgh Super Dog show this Sunday 10th September, still chance to volunteer so if you and your dog don't mind standing next to the GAL stall looking drop dead georgeous all day then let me know.
For those of you going to the event it promises to be a fun packed day, as usually to avoid 150 emails here's directions for you, on this map you guys are heading for the large red circle, since the Edinburgh Walks started earlier on in the year we're rehomed an increasing number of dogs over in the east so this is another great chance for GAL to continue this trend!..
Thank you to everyone that turned up today, the weather was great for us and a big congratulations goes to Patsy (Rhona W) who won 'Golden Oldie' class
John was going around with his camera (sneaking at times) and I am sure he is going to post some here later - Can't wait to see the photos of the houndies
Had a really nice day today. Have to say I think Georgie was robbed of "Golden Oldie" title. We cheated a wee bit and kept the "I need a home" coat on - got us the sympathy vote!!
You're right Esther, he is really lovely. Very biddable and undemanding - except at 5.30 am every day when he barks just to let us know he's lonely!!!!!!!!!!!!! Two minutes petting and he settles down again until 7.30. He's recovered well from his dental work and his weight has increased to 36kgs! We've decided to adopt him because he deserves a permanent home - he is such a great guy!
Congratulations on your new addition Carole, it's fantastic that Georgie has found his forever home with you. He seems such a happy lad considering all he has been through and now he will get all the love he deserves
