Piper has always liked moving things around - her toys into the garden, Rhianna's toys into Kyra's room, Kyra's slippers onto my bed etc. She obviously does not approve of my way of ordering things.

Now we have a big cardboard box for freshly picked apples in the utility room. In passing, Piper frequently picks up an apple - very neatly by the stalk! - carries it upstairs and places it on a beanbag or a bed. Or she'll get one on her way out and put it on the lawn with the windfalls...

Do other greyhounds rearrange their households, too?

Tilly likes to get all her toys one by one and place them very neatly in her bed and then lies in the bed surrounded by them.

She also like hiding my slippers in her bed, so if ever I can't find them I know where to look!

Daisy is a collector too.   She gathers everyone's shoes and slippers and puts them on her bed. Her and Dave then have to sleep round them

If Dave gets a toy out of the toy box, the moment he puts it down, Daisy is there to take it to their beds.  Dave doesn't bother tidying tho - that must be a man-thing !!

It's really funny to watch her tho.  She used to gather tv and sky remote controls as well but has learnt that's not allowed !

Rosie isnt really a collecter, but if Im throwing a tennis ball for her in thegarden she will fetch it and then run inside and plonk it on her bed! So I have to catch her before she goes into the house to throw it again without upsetting her!!

Tigger is the closest I have to a collector.  She, like Rosie, takes any toys you throw for her outside back in and to wherever her latest little hideaway is.  We have a number of toys in various locations upstairs now.  She was forever taking her toys outside during the dry spell so we are still finding the odd toy in the garden.

Daz doesn't often collect things but sometimes he gets scouring pads or dish-sponges from the kitchen and takes them to his main daytime bed on the landing. Yesterday I found a chewed up toothbrush on his secondary daytime bed in the sitting room. On making enquiries I discovered that Kathy had used the toothbrush to clean dog poo off her boots and had then left it on the back doorstep. Daz had taken it in, chewed off the sh**y end (and presumably eaten most of it) and left the rest on his bed. Oh dear....

Ooh, yuck indeed.

Gail, yes indeed, Piper is a real comedy dog and provides incredible amounts of entertainment for the whole family

Her latest acquisitions included
- a feather duster (please don't imagine that I'm some kind of Good Housewife; it's just that the cobwebs threatened to suffocate my family)
- a large ball of hair recently removed from a hairbrush, which she had retrieved from a bin and carried around the house by one hair, not quite sure what to do with it. She looked somewhat relieved when I took it off her.

At least she leaves the remote controls alone - might be quite fun to teach her to change channels when the girls are on one of their 'Charmed' trips again, though...

She has also started pairing up her new toy the Moose with the old manky Goose. Perhaps she was a poet in her last life.

Piper also pushes things hard with her nose rather than sniffing them, which looks quite odd and funny.

Well, here she is, glorying in her achievements. For some reason, she laid out her toys in the shape of a cross, and as you can see, the two pink slippers are neatly together. Should I be worried?

She certainly seems pleased with her efforts, the next trick will be putting the slippers on when she comes back from her walks!
