BONE DUMPING
Permalink Closed

Took the three dogs out for their morning walk today.  It's one of my favourite walks - very picturesque and peaceful.  I'd been standing watching a wee red squirrel scampering about and all was right with the world!

Stuck Millie on a lead to get past some cottages and was just waiting for Wills to catch me up when I heard a crunching noise.  Looked round and Tigger was rapidly trying to scoff a bone.    Managed to get her to drop part of it but the rest went down the hatch!  Millie grabbed the dropped bit but managed to get that from her.  Meanwhile, Wills had found another bit and scoffed that!

Am now praying that neither of them have any problems having eaten the bones.  I don't know what kind of bones they were and could quite cheerfully swing for the person that chucked them there!!!

It never ceases to amaze me how thoughtless and inconsiderate some people can be

Hope the gang are all ok

So far so good.  They all ate their dinner like there was no tomorrow - it's like watching industrial hoovers at work!  Think I might take them for a slightly longer last thing walk tonight - just in case!

Can understand you being a bit miffed at the bones left lying around, i have the same problem near me and it's a daily battle to keep Neo away from them.

I live right next to a small dog park that is ideal for quick toilet stops before going on a proper walk, unfortunately there is a family at the top of the road who have a Staffie that is never walked, they just chuck it out the door on it's own to run around where it likes and always with a bone in it's mouth which is then dropped in the park and left. They also have no control over the dog when they try to get it back in (which is usually several hours later!!) and they bring more bones out to entice it home and usually leave them lying about as well. Neo starts searching for the bones the minute we walk in there and i've lost count the amount of times i have had to fish them out of his mouth in the dark when he has managed to get them before i've seen.

hope there are no ill effects with your gang
