I have kindly been given the permission to post some photos of Amber (how strange is that - this wee pup is called Amber and it was Joyce that spoke to the lady at M&S)
I am sitting here with the tears in my eyes! I am delighted that we are getting the message across. And I don't think it is just coincidence that the little dog is called Amber.
Oh Siouxsie, Amber is gorgeous! Thanks for posting her photo and letting us know that this wee pup found her home through a chance meeting at the M&S can collection. It's a coincidence indeed that she's called Amber!
Joyce, I take my hat off to you (if I had one on that is). It goes to show that can collections are really worthwhile not just for the money collected but also for advertising what GAL does. Well done!
Thanks Christine. I wonder if the pup was named before it was homed, because I probably told the new owner about my wonderful girl. And I like to think that the name has stuck in the lady's mind.
In any case I have told Amber that she has a puppy named after her! And that is the version we are sticking to in this house! Amber says she is very proud that she has helped to get a wee four legged friend a home.
Just to reiterate the can collections are hugely important - not just for the cash - but also to spread the word!!!
So if you can spare some time on the 15th of December then please get in touch with Linda.
Well done everyone involved in finding her forever home but especially to you Joyce, it must give you a great feeling knowing your hard work and dedication to the dogs pays off in more than just one way. Keep up the good work

Truly wish I could but I'll be working on 15th, otherwise I'd have brought Tigger & Millie along. There any other collections planned towards Christmas at a weekend? I might be able to make them.
