My dodgy computer has managed to stay on line for a bit longer than is usual and I have just caught up with Ziggy's thread. What a hero...keep the news of Ziggy flowing.
Lots of love and healing thoughts Eleanor Tom Leo and Flashxxxxxxx

Just managed to catch up on Ziggy. Thats really fantastic news about his results, you must have been so exhilarated when you got them. Here's hoping for a speedy recover from his op now and get him home to you asap.
Ziggy is home!!!! He had a very excited welcome from Vernon, obviously pleased his pal had come home at last. Back next week for a check up, and then an Xray in 4 weeks time. He still has a long way to go but he's heading in the right direction.
Ok. Always one to oblige a pic. As you can see he is bald as a coot! Wound is on underside of the right leg. It is open and you can see the bone. I have to flush it twice a day and apply the clear film dressing to keep it clean. All my old nursing skills coming in useful.
Jenny so glad to see Ziggy home. You must be delighted as must Vernon be. He looks lovely and relaxed and I'm sure with all the loving care he gets he'll come on in leaps and bounds. Keep us updated with his progress.

That's wonderful! The news keeps getting better and better!
Good luck with the nursing - it must be so much more difficult when it's a member of your own "family"! Will carry on crossing fingers and toes that Ziggy continues to go from strength to strength!
So pleased Ziggy is back home and now he is, I am sure the recovery period will be a lot quicker being around his own surroundings and Vernon, Jaspar and you.
I've been following Ziggy's progress with my heart in my mouth, last year one of my girls got a nasty but simple gash in her thigh which ended up with three ops and about 8 weeks of treatment for a blood disorder and for some of the time it was touch and go, unbelievable that everything could all go so dreadfully wrong so suddenly, so I understood exactly what you were going through. I'm so glad that Ziggy is now making a good recovery at last and enjoying the best of nursing. Best wishes, Fiona
Jenny, i've just caught up with Ziggy's progress and i'm so glad you have got your lad home with you, he must feel much more secure being back with his family. Hope he continues to heal, big hugs from Neo, sally and logan. x
Jenny, I've just caught up with your thread. What a time you've had with Ziggy, but I'm absolutely delighted he's home with you now! It'll make a big difference to him knowing he's home with all the TLC you're providing. Hope Ziggy continues to get better! Give him, Vernon and Jasper a big from me.
Ziggy had his first check up at the vet school today. The nurse was very pleased with his wound and said it was looking great in such a short period of time. Discussed the treatment I was doing at home and she said it was obviously working so we can leave it 2 weeks til she sees him again. I was so pleased as it is hard to tell if it has changed when you see it every day. He is the best patient
aww Glad Ziggy is on the mend. Its always harder when its an older dog but im so pleased he has you as his mummy so he'll be well cared for. Give him a big lick from Millie and Willow
