Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lifes whole.........
We started fostering on the condition that we would not adopt another dog. So Jennifer we're delighted to be a member of your club. I knew I could not let Prince go because every morning he stands at the top of the stairs looking down at me when I leave for work whilst the other 3 (Dylan, Kiera and Millie) are lying in their beds. On Friday morning last week he came down to the bottom of the stairs and watched me as I went out the front door. I peeked through the letterbox and was met with these big brown eyes staring back at me. That was it.... I was totally smitten.
Tonight I think they all know that the big man is staying because they had about 10 minutes of madness where the 4 of them were playing, running up and down the stairs and jumping on the couch: It was a bit like hide and seek and Prince seemed to be leading the game. Once they had finished they just went to their beds and fell asleep.
Delighted that Prince will be staying with you all. He couldn't wish for a better home and he's a very lucky boy. I can just see those big brown eyes looking through the letterbox. Isn't it funny sometimes how dogs know which buttons to press?
What can I say but CONGRATS!! I remember bringing him to you and telling you what a great dog he is and hoping things would work out. And so it is just so wonderful to hear that it has been better than planned! I am so happy for all of you and have a little saying that my aunt told me (as she has 4 kids and is trying for a 5th):
4 is to be adored yet 5 is divine! :) Just a thougth.
Glad to hear you will still foster in and for emergencies! Take care and hope to see you soon! Linda
