Thanks for the warm welcome. Wasnt sure how folks would all be since i have racing dogs. I have joined a forum before and wasnt accepted very well because i still had dogs racing - but i can assure you they are my babies and i love them to bits.
Hello and welcome. It'll be interesting to hear your views on the various subjects that get discussed on the forum given that your dogs still race, maybe give a different angle. I certainly hope you'll not experience any problems being accepted on this forum, although I don't think you will. Hope to meet you at a future event. Jax, Barrie, Mike, Dan and Sally.xx
Welcome to the forum. Doesn't make a difference to me if your dogs are still racing..as long as they are loved to bits which it sounds like they are! Look forward to hearing your views on lots of the topics discussed here and some pics would be nice.

Hi and welcome. I have always said you shouldn't tar everyone with the same brush and am sure you love your hounds very much. When they retire will they all stay with you?

Hiya, yes i love them very much. Sadly one had to be put down last month as it suffered an injury at the track. 2 of the dogs running i am hoping to bring home when finished and will try find homes for the other 2. I have friends who may be interested in giving one a home.
Hi, Gill & Kev, Welcome from another new member. I got my Timmy directly from his racer who is a lovely man and was just so good to his dogs, no going into kennesl to wait for rehoming, and I know he kept some of the retirees as pets. Timmy was spoilt rotten when he arrived, (nothing's changed there) and in gorgeous condition. I think contributions from racing owners is helpful to keep a balance, its very easy to stereotype all racers according to the bad ones if we only hear the bad things. And I'm sure you will have hints and tips to pass on. Cheers, Fiona n pack
I have met Millie's trainer/breeder twice now and he seems a lovely guy who cares about his dogs very much. Both times Millie was mega excited to see him which was a good sign, even my boyfriend was shocked with the way she reacted to him, she was really really happy and ran into the kennels to see her brothers and sisters that were still there. That must be a good sign that she was so happy to be there. Its just unfortunate that you hear about all the bad trainers and they are all tarred with the same brush.
