Dave sent us these photos of Dan when he first arrived at Bothwell so we thought we'd share them. His leg injury looks awful, wee soul. He's still got a huge scar. It's funny though, comparing the pictures with him now we can see how grey he's got in his old age.
Dan about 7 years ago
His leg injury
Dan now...still a handsome chap but you can see how much his face has changed
Blimey, his leg looks a right mess. Is it all okay now?
It's funny how some dogs seem to go grey quickly. We notice a huge difference in Harry from when we got him just 2 years ago. He's only 5 but is more salt than pepper round his muzzle now. Of course, as with Dan, it just make him all the more gorgeous.
Ouch that looked a sore one He is such a lovely colour and the grey just adds to his character Its nice for you to be able to see him in his younger days. He is a lucky boy having you and Sally now
That leg injury makes you shudder just looking at it! What a lucky boy Dan is to get his home with you guys. It's nice to have a record of their young days, and they change just like we do!
His leg injury looked awful - he def looks more handsome and distinguished now - I think it just adds to their appeal when they start going grey - Tilly is def a bit more grey than she was when we got her a year ago - must be all the stress she is under!!!!
OUCH! That injury looks bad, poor love. He has became more distinguished with age, Cas is going the same way with lovely peppering round her muzzle it just adds to their character. Nora

Poor lad, having that horrible injury to contend with. It looks really nasty!
There is certainly a marked difference in the colour round Dan's eyes. I see it with my old boy too. I found a photo of him that I took years ago and was quite shocked. You don't notice it much until you see an old photo! Do we love them any the less for it - do we heck!
His injury looks horrific, he is a beautiful colour though and his grey face makes him look more dignified, we got Dust over 4 years ago and he was pretty much all the same colour, his face is nearly pure white now.

ROLL ON MARCH
Poor Dan, his wound is horrible, so glad he recovered and is now in good hands, he looks stunning now, a really handsome chap, how old is he now? Regarding the injury, I have similar photos of Tia from last year, following vet treatment!! I'll post the story and photos shortly, it was quite a lesson to make sure I use a vet with greyhound experience and who is motivated by more than fees.
Dan will be 11 on 8th August. If I remember right Dave told us he was thrown out of a moving car in Coatbridge when he was about 3, then rehomed after he recovered, but that home broke down last May, and he came to us!!! He's a right old stubborn git at times but after what he's been through we can forgive him!! Wouldn't be without him now.
Poor soul looks like he's been through alot. I think he looks lovely really handsome now he has greyed a bit. His colours have blended together beautifully. Em and Chad xx
