I know not everyone loves to do a can collection but there are some perks - such as walking around for a short time with a lovely homeless dog!
We were lucky in a way that we will be allowed to do some AFTER EASTER sells with a can collection on Monday April 2nd on Buchanan Street. So if anyone is available to come for a few hours - that would be great!
I will be there with a few others and some homeless dogs about 12 noon until about 3:30 - unless we are just mobbed with people throwing money at us! We will have " I need a home" on the dogs as well so you won't be able to miss us.
I won't make it to this one, Linda. I'm in Glasgow on Monday morning, but have to be at work in the afternoon. Are there any can collections planned for Saturdays or Sundays?
We hope we will be able to do more on the weekends this coming summer - I will keep you posted!
Thanks for the interest - the can collections have really become a fun time. A chance to get to chat with fellow volunteers, eat a bit of food and spend the afternoons with dogs. What more can life offer after that?
I just wanted to thank everyone who came out to help at the can collection on Monday on Buchanan Street! We raised £400!! It was a really sunny day and we had Jamie & Jerry from Rachel's who thoroughly enjoyed the day out!
Big thanks to Jenny & Vernon, Claire & Graham with Tara & Zak, Carole & Bertie, Val and Lita. Helen came along for support and water for the hounds!
We handed out quite a few Business Cards and Volunteer flyers so let's hope we get responses from the day!
Since the weather is so nice - we hope to have more so those that missed the fun day - hope to see you at the next one! Stay tuned!
Well done Linda, we were so lucky with the weather, so think folks were in a good mood. I had Jamie most of the time, and I can't believe he has not got a home - he was so gorgeous and waggy.
