Had a lovely day in the garden. Had a good laugh at my son who found lots of ladybirds having a party "look they are even giving each other rides....."
Bliss! great to see great sun lovers at work. Cara just back from swimming in the pond, I'll need to get her in the shower before oh comes home and notices the smell! any hints on getting dog in shower cubicle and washing her without her and most of the water getting out the cubicle and all over the floor. It's times like this I wish there was room for a bath in oor wee cottage.
Hi had you thought of using a watering can filled with warm water on Cara outside. Nicki mentioned she does this with Janie I thought it was a great idea.
And I managed to get this 'action shot' of Rosie when she was leaping about the livingroom! (I think she's finally very well settled after almost 11 months with us!)
Thanks for the watering can idea, I would need to line up a few watering cans as nipping in to the kitchen to refill one would result in a quick exit by Cara. The idea got me thinking, I will try and get a hose thing that will fit the mixer tap in the kitchen, then I can keep the water off the floors in the toilet, hall and kitchen and that way I'll stay in oh good books. OH suggests keeping Cara out of the smelly pond, but where's the fun in that? Cara now sporting an 'Is she, isn't she?' type hair do, like you used to see in the hair spray adverts. Does remembering those adverts make me old?
Great pics. If I had had my camera with me yesterday I could have taken a pic of Flash throwing himself into a patch of water and mud. Glad to hear that the ladybirds were having a good time too. Eleanorxxxxxx

Last weekend was the first time I tackled Mason and washing and I used the watering can technique in the front garden. I was absolutely stunned when Mason stood stock still the entire time I soaked him, shampooed him and rinsed him off. I didn't need to put his lead on to keep him in place and he didn't even shake himself until after I had dried him off. It gathered quite a little crowd of amused onlookers at the front gate as he patiently waited for me to finish, I felt like I was washing the car On that subject does anyone have any shampoo advice? Mason's skin dries and flakes v. easily and I am steering clear of Bob Martin products since he itched terribly after I used their pet wipes, the ones wil aloe vera.
I love seeing photos of dogs lounging about in the sun. Blue is looking soooo handsome and great to see photos of beautiful Rosie.
We have one of these giant flower that attach to a hose and the flower starts going wobbly with the pressure from the water and my three had a whale of time running through the water the other day.
Yesterday she crashed into a tree chasing a rabbit. But she's fine now, she grazed the inside of her right back leg, and hurt her right left dew claw, but she's absolutely fine now. Gave us a bit of scare when she came hopping out of the bushed holding her back leg up, but she also wanted to hold up her front leg. But she couldnt have held up both or she would have fallen over
She's lying in the sun again today after playing football with Gem
I took Speedy to my Parents the other day and after a belt around the beach he flopped out in their garden in the sun. My Mother has become so besotted with him that she had to put his bed on the grass for him as she was worried the grass was too cold!
Needless to say he wouldn't budge when it was time to go!
My garden is all slabs and they get too hot in the sun for the animals. The cats hide in the shade behind plant pots but I don't have any Speedy sized ones so he goes back indoors after a while.. It's a dog's life! I guess I am going to have to carry Speedy's bed down two flights of stairs in the future..

No wonder you had a scare. Glad Rosie is fine now and enjoying the sun.
Your lot are certainly enjoying the sun, I love all the photos as usual especially the one with Millie, Eva and Willow are flaked out, but could you not of fitted Tob's in the photos too?
Jennifer, the pic of the three of them crashed out is wonderful, I am also jealous of your garden. Mason gets to lie out in my front garden, if I put his blanket down, but there's no room to run! Marie
