Daisy has come out in sympathy for blue. As I said before, her dislocated toe rarely gives her any problems but, this morning, she wouldn't walk on it. No crying or screaming - just no weight on that foot.
Luckily, our vet has a surgery that's open on a Sunday so off we went. She now has five days worth of anti-inflammatory tablets. If they don't help, she will quite likely have to have her toe amputated.
Blue was out for his evening walk yesterday when he and Phil saw Janie. They haven't seen each other for ages. Both Blue and Janie started to run together much to Phil and Colin's horror, what with Blues wonky toe bandaged up and all the problems poor Janie has had recently. They were both fine though and suspect they wondered what all the fuss was about.
Blues bandage came flying off and it was still in the shape of his leg and foot. I showed it to my 7 year old boy this a.m He went pale and looked as if he was going to vomit and said "oh no has Blue's leg fallen off" We did tell him Blue was fine inbetween fits of laughter
