We have a new addition in our house- Harry, 6-8 year old brindle Lurcher.
So new in fact, he only came home yesterday!
He's extremely nervous, panting and drinking lots of water. We've had a few wee accidents in the house, and he never slept last night at all. Neither did I!
I've left him alone in the house for a few minutes at a time- he gets majorly upset, which is upsetting me too, because I really don't know how to help him, particularly if I'm on the loo! He's staying in the bedroom for most of the time, but coming out regularly for a wee nosey around the house. If I'm anywhere but the living room, he is whining. I'm sure he's completely bewildered and petrified, but I'm hoping that in the next few weeks things will settle down with him.
This is our first Lurcher, and we'll have to take things slowly, but I know if we have difficulties it will be easy to get support from you guys with all your expert knowledge!
