Did anyone see Jilly Cooper on The Paul O'Grady show? She had her retired greyhound Feather with her. I missed it til the very last bit. Wish I'd seen it.
Jilly Cooper explained he was found wandering the streets in Ireland, was an ex-racer and they thought he had been thrown from a car. Paul O,Grady made a small mention of the plight of the greyhound and the things that happen to them. Feather was one very laid back hound and took to the studio atmosphere by climbing on the couch and lying down. Bless him. I think he was male? Nora

Wasn't there a link on the Forum a while back to a letter/newspaper article Jilly Cooper wrote about Feather?
It was around the time of the Killing Fields being reported and Germaine Greers (grrrrrrr) response I think. I just seem to remember thinking What a lovely piece Jilly Cooper wrote.

There's a picture of Jilly and Feather in today's Mail on Sunday. She is writing about having been a writer for the MoS since it its first publication 25 years ago. In the article she has a paragraph on Feather, her adopted greyhound - so a bit more publicity for greys. Well done, Jilly.
Has anyone got the new paperback of Jilly Coopers new book I think it's called Wicked I had a quick sqizz in Tesco today and on the back cover there is a Black and white dog wearing an orange hoodie, It could be my Sunny's double I had to do a double take
