Boy where does the time go? It's that time again for the next GAL Glasgow Monthly Dog Walk this Sunday!
It's time for all the hounds to meet up again at the park! Let's hope for some sunny weather to walk around the Loch! The walk around the loch in the park is about 3 miles - but don't worry you don't need to go all the way around if you don't want to!
There is no set plan for the day however, Iluska "our In-charge" person will be in the Car Park from 11am to 1pm if you would like to stop by for a chat. I'll be coming with a few of the homeless dogs that are at the kennels so that they too can enjoy abit of fresh air and I could use a few more volunteers to help out with bringing some more dogs!
Here are the details:
WHEN: Sunday 3rd of June at 11am WHERE: Strathclyde Park in Motherwell - again we will be at the Bothwell Pavilion which is at the other side of the park where we normally meet. If you come off the M74 at Junction 5 - head into the park and just after the Holiday Express the first street on your right will bring you to the parking lot where we will be.
Hope to see you there and if you are interested in helping out with the homeless dogs - please email me at linda@gal.org.uk .
Also remember if you can't make it on the 3rd - don't worry as the walks will continue on the first Sunday of each month!
I will be there too and will take part in the walk this time (will bring a few shop items along too).
If anyone is looking for a particular item please let me know in advance as I will have my own dog Harley with me so I need to leave some space in the boot for him
Lorna, Molly was wondering if her new collar was in yet, the one she got measured up for a couple of months back.
Sorry I deleted my previous post in error - unfortunately isnt in stock yet but I will chase it up - apologies for the delay.
I should have mentioned in my previous post but if you do have a stock query or want anything in particular - could you please send me an email to shop@gal.org.uk. I am happy to answer any questions.
We have all the other colours of Kitsch collars available - Pink is very popular this season but I hope to have more in the next 7-10 days in time for the Linn Park dog show on the 16th June.
Hopefully we will be there with Tara and Zak. We shall see if we can beat our record for number people wanting to give Tara a home in one walk. This is so far at 3. Last Strathclyde walk that we were on we had one guy running down the path after us (we were obvious as graham had a GAL red bib on). He wanted to offer Tara an immediate home if she was looking for one.
What is it with our monster pup that appeals to people?
Have to agree, she is a super big dog. Salt and pepper shaggy coat gets me every time. I can't make it to walks in Glasgow, too many sick bags required, but wish the people going all the best, and lets hope the homeless dogs get new homes
