Thought you might like to see some of the photos from our trial run at camping with dogs. We bought a big Landrover about ten years ago to go camping in and Peter is in the process of modifying it from time to time, for instance, last week he installed a sleeping platform to keep us out of the way of the dogs if they had the floor.
The tour starts http://www.pbase.com/image/79629528 (click 'next' at the top right to move on) and I subtitled the images a little ... apologies to Daz for taking the micky so much of his wussiness. Throughout our time I was noticing a kind of compare and contrast the natures of greyhounds and lurchers when it came to a little bit of hardship involved in camping.
A sneak preview:
Peter's suggestion of this one for a magazine called 'The Illustrated Lurcher'
What fantastic photo,s Kathye and the scenery is breathtaking. Tess is looking good and living life to the full and Daz is as handsome as ever. Nice to hear from you all. Nora

I have to agree with all the comments on Tess, how stunning she is looking. The Illustrated Lurcher image is great. She has really blossomed in your care
Thanks for the compliments on the dogs and the photos :) They're both such rewarding dogs and have really completed our family.
I'd missed the Carry on Camping angle and was headed more in the direction of 'Five go Camping' though in our case it was only four. We've taken the rats camping in the past but I think we might not try combining rats and lurchers AND humans in such a small space!
Poor old Daz looked so relieved to be back home, the pix are fantastic Kathy and I love the profiles of Tess demonstrating her stance. Glad to see Peter fixed the camper door before you left tho Marie
What great photos! Looks like the dogs loved it as much as the humans. I don't know if I'd be so keen to be in such a confined space with Vernon's wind and dog breath!
You're right Jenny, but in a Land Rover the natural ventilation from all the gaps and holes in the body seem to compensate ;) Plus we have a little solar powered fan right above where the dogs are :D
Hi What splendid photos - looks like you had a great time, along with the dogs! They look like cheeky wee rascals - hopefully they didn't moan, "Are we nearly there yet?!"
