Just been looking at the Events calendar for this year...and looking ahead to the Christmas Show, the Greyhound day is still on the Sunday. I and others have suggested for the past couple of yeasr that we have a swap with the Lurchers, as some of us have a long way to travel with the dogs and also work the next day....Sunday is not always the best day as it means a very late treturn home. Please can it be swapped this year? There is plenty of notice between now and November and it also means us greyhound owners get first look at the stalls for a change!!!!!
PLEEEEEEEEZE ? !!!!!!!!!!!!

We haven't finalized the dog days just yet but we will be announcing that the venue has changed due to the construction starting at Langside College. (well they have told us that in August construction will start for about a yeart!)

So we will be moving to the East of Glasgow for the event!
Will keep you posted and will pass on your request to the committee!

I was wondering if there was anything arranged for the shoebox appeal at the christmas show this year? I didn't make the show last year but the year before people donated doggy things, like blankets, toys etc in shoeboxes (or bigger as mine turned out to be as i got a wee bit carried away! biggrin.gif) to give to the homeless hounds. i thought it was a lovely idea.

Sorry for mentioning the "C" word so early, i just like to be organised biggrin.gif

I've actually been stockpiling stuff for my box for a while now. Whether there is a box appeal or not, there will be blankets, toys and goodies for some homeless hounds from our household this Christmas. wink.gif

P.S. If there's a raffle at the show, I've got two gorgeous huggyhoundz to donate to it - Santa Paws and Lemonie. biggrin.gif

How do you host a stall at the Christmas shows and how much does it cost? I bought some lovely material to make a dog collar for Tigerlily and have since got carried away with the whole thing!
