Big pats on the back to you and your family, how amazing to see him change like that. He's a real family dog now and looks like a different boy altogether! xx
It is so amazing to see him now!!! He looks just so fab!! The video was incredible - all I can say is i needed a big box of tissues to watch and see such a transformation and how happy he looks!! Thanks so much for all your hard work and look forward to seeing him again soon!
Louie has been so responsive recently that we decided to try him off his leash! He was a star! In fact I'm sure he wondered what all the fuss was about.
He is getting more and more at ease around strangers and is now quite comfortable walking through the town centre in the middle of the day etc. He doesn't like strangers approaching him directly and attempting to clap him, but if they stand and ignore him for a bit first, he generally edges in closer and closer and then allows them to talk to him etc.
Here are a couple of pictures from today. The first one is him running free (he went straight by the biscuit to get to my OH but ate it on the way back to me).
The second picture is with my son (who dotes on Louie!). Louie has no problem putting up with an abundance of hugs!
As an aside, my daughter's friend was visiting the other day, and she'd met Louie not long after he came to stay here. On seeing him this time, her first comment was, "Is that the dog who used to be brown?"
He looks brillant and yes - is it the same dog that came to you so many months ago? Let's hope he is ready to find his permanent home - are you ready??
Keep up the updating - it is just so great to hear and see him!
i had to have a wee peek at the "before" pics after your daughters friends comment...he looks like a different dog! he looks so much more confident and shiny now! the new set of pics are fantastic; him and your son look like bestest friends!
Louie has a new video! It's not very long because I was getting motion sickness watching the footage (that's what happens when you give a 9 year old the camera!). However, you can see how happy Louie is and how he responds when off his lead. He LOVES that squeaky cat, even more than treats.
Great to see the boy again,we used to let him run up to his kennel he was good off lead,we couldn't let him off outside of the area behind the house because of the busy road/railway,but he was ok around the kennels and feed store, thanks for posting the video he looks an all round family hound now, keep up the good work.
