When I first volunteered to foster I knew I'd have to go through a homecheck. I was nervous, unsure of what that was actually going to involve. I knew my housework wasn't on trial, but I still tried to tidy up and make the place a little more presentable (bearing in mind I have 3 kids, a dog and a bunch of rodents who insist on making their presence felt).
What slipped my mind for a while, was how much greyhounds can make their presence felt.... it's all too easy to think of them snuggled up in some comfy corner, sleeping the day away.
Do you think I'd have been accepted as a foster home if my kitchen had looked like this that homecheck day.......
The foster hound responsible shall remain nameless since he's now in his forever home, but he knows who he is!
So a little warning to potential owners .... don't forget to shut the kitchen door when you go out!
LOL! But I bet you weren't laughing when you saw it. What a messy hound - it must've been some party! Is there anything in the kitchen he/she didn't find and destroy?
OMG is that a wee furry things cage on the floor in the picture is the wee furry ok? It's a cracking photo, I bet you never forgot to shut the door again
How did I miss this post?? That made me laugh so much the neighbours probably think I have finally flipped
Someone close to my heart did that to me last year, only problem was I couldn't get through the door as the bin had got pulled over with the ironing board wedged on top..
I've got one of those 'sons' you are talking about, lucky for me he lives in Finland. Even at age 29 he can stay with me for two days and the whole house looks like that room
