Channel 4 are looking for people for a new show:

Strictly Dog Dancing
This series we're launching a new strand, Strictly Dog Dancing. If you've got a dog and would love to learn to dance with them then get in touch.

http://www.channel4.com/entertainment/tv/microsites/R/richardandjudy/strand_callout_dog.html

Sounds fund and could be great publicity if we get a GAL dog on.

Claire

Mason can do the Houdini Hoof, he did it all the way out of his collar this morning as I tried to get him into the daycare vanevileye
Note to self: Wet dog needs tighter collar.
Seriously though it would be great to see a greyhound involved. My boy would spend his whole time trying to escape.
Now if they had a doggy version of Prison Break, Mason's your man!

Not sure anyone is tall enough.  She can do the spin round thing and I bet I could teach her to jump over my leg.  I am a bit tempted to enter her.

I'd be voting big time to see Tara strut her stuff, let me know if you are going to the auditions. (If thats what you do to get on these things) Have a word with the GAL celebrity judge, she may have some contacts wink

You realise that it will be me showing Tara up not the other way round if we did this. We already do dog agility and I am the one who has no co-ordination and cant get my lefts and rights correct.

She not only fits but it is one of her favourite things. I have to hold on to her very tight when the trainer says tunnel (the command to run through) for another dog otherwise she pulls the lead out of my hands and goes through instead. One of these days we shall find out if I fit through dragged behind Tara.

Another favourite is the A frame. 2 weeks ago we went over it and then the jump and before I could grab er she was back over the other way. I called her and she spun round on the top and came back down again.

We have also mastered the tyre (she just steps through), the cat walk (I have to make her take this slowly as the trainer is terrified that she is going to do the splits on it). I am also worried what happens when she falls off on top of me. She has no fear of it and can happily jump off from the top.

The weave poles on the other hand are being a harder task.

We get full marks for enthusiasm and but none for style or skill. We get black marks though for over exited dog who thinks that I dont go fast enough so grabs me round the arm and tries to drag me along. I am working hard on that one as I bruise very easily and people at work are starting to pull faces.

You can come along and watch if you want. We do it on Tuesdays at 6pm in the equestrian centre at Oatridge College.

Claire, have you thought about using stilts to do dog dancing, I'm sure Tara would go through your legs thenwink
I have this image now of you and Tara wedged together in a plastic tunnel after being dragged in alongside her!
