I don't know if Hazel the ? Han**** beardie/border collie/greyhound bitch with one brown and one blue eye that has been in the dogs' home for a month is on GAL's books? Anyway I am rehoming her and all being well I am picking her up tomorrow.
I am not sure how Flash will cope with his new girlfriend as she was a bit wild and he was not amused but one bark from him and she backed off immediately and went off quiety to do her own thing and so we all thought that she seems to have the sense to respect him.
On saying that...wish us loads and loads of luck that everything goes well. . Tom had said...no more dogs except maybe a little bedlington terrier or a whippet... but if any of you have seen Hazel...well let's just say he fell for her and didn't need too much persuading to offer her a home. Eleanor and Flashxxxxxxx

Well done to you Eleanor. I am sure you will show your expertise and have your new girl settled and behaving beautifully in no time ! They are quick learners! Any Greyhound or Lurcher rescued has to be good news !
Got a bit of a surprise myself yesterday, Hubby said he would just love another wee cat friendly pal for Jack !! Have been nagging for a year. Took a while for him to agree, but I knew he would!! Now on a mission to find a wee cat friendly for Jack . I am all excited!! Know how you feel !! All the best with new arrival ! Good luck. Marian.
Brilliant!! Cant wait to see pictures of her!! Many peolpe think that my lurcher bella is possibly beardie x greyhound so it will be interesting to see what she looks like. How old is hazel? What a nice name will you keep it? Sorry, stop with all the questions diane.
Congratulations! I'm sure Hazel will settle very quickly with you and Flash! I'm so looking forward to seeing her as Vegas is a Han**** lurcher too - his father was a bearded collie and his mother a greyhound. He has one blue eye and the other eye is half brown, half blue! It would be interesting if they looked alike! Do you have any photos you can post?
Fantastic news, I'm sure Hazel will soon settle and learn from Flash. We had similiar concerns over Millie but as you have seen she adapted to home life beautifully. Cant wait for you to bring her out to Balloch for our gang walks :) Great news you have made 8 friends happy here :) Lindsay Helen and the Balloch Gang xxxx
I was all set to go to the dogs' home when Tom phoned...he is going to take some time off work because he wants to come too .Will be interesting to get Vegas Bella and Hazel together someday. I don't know whether I will keep her name as Hazel or not. I don't usually change rescue dogs' names but one of my best friends is called Hazel . Not sure what age she is...dogs' home thinks 2 to 3 years. Will get camera on the go asap ...if I can find it...I have everything I cherish planked away in case Hazel eats things I still have all the bolts on the bedroom doors that we had to put on for Leo.
Will get in some training in with Hazel ready for Balloch Lindsay Love to all Eleanorxxxxxxxx

That's right, Eleanor. Vegas has tattoed ears and GAL was able to contact David Han**** in the West Midlands to find out his parentage. If Hazel's ears are tattoed by David Han****, one of the tattoes will begin with DH then a number. And on the other ear the letters/numbers refer to her father's identity.

Thanks Christine I wondered if maybe he just tattooed the dogs that he kept for breeding. Hazel has no tattoos she must just be a sort of lookalike.. Eleanorxxxxx

Congratulations on adopting Hazel, looking forward to seeing what a Han**** lurcher looks like..
Hazel hasn't got tattooed ears and so she just looks like a Han**** lurcher. His website is www.han****lurchers.co.uk there is a gallery there of he and his daughters various types of collie lurcher. I thought that Hazel might be one his hairy beardie/border collie/greys. Hope that the link works when his name is censored Eleanorxxxxx

Hazel could be a Han**** lurcher cross - maybe that's why she isn't tattoed. But she looks very like the hairy beardie/greyhound cross that David Han**** favours when breeding lurchers. She's beautiful and I know that DH breeds just as much for looks as he does for ability and stamina in the field. Many of his lurchers are show dogs, I believe!
Jen - Vegas is a smooth coated grey merle Han**** lurcher and you can see his head on my avatar!
She is lovely Christine I do hope that Tom can manage to get away from work at a reasonable time on Saturday so that we can get to Edinburgh for the show No wonder I keep dogs at least I have a fair idea of the hours that they keep.
Of course things are a bit my fault as I am losing confidence driving my car on motorways as it is getting a bit old and my sense of direction?...well it is like a sort of dyslexia only with roads. I prefer to go any distance at all with a full tank of petrol in case I get lost My getting "Lost" is an art form. It is a gift Eleanorxxxxxx
