How is the kennel fund doing?
If you look at the Kennel Fund website the latest figure for the amount collected is around £23,000 as at February 2007. Are we on target to reach £40k by the end of December?
Now that such great work has been done improving the Forum, perhaps the Kennel Fund website could be updated to let us know.

I know that the amount is a bit more than shown.

I don't think that we will manage to achieve £40,000 by end of the year.

I have a couple of events planned: One being the Curry Karaoke on 27 September and the other a Psychic Evening on 8 November.  Both of these are posted on the forum.

With members support I'm sure that we can get a bit closer to the target amount.

Get in touch with me if you'd like to attend either of these events.  If you'd be able to sell a few tickets even better!

The kennel fund is very healthy at the moment.

Check out the amount raised so far by clicking into Kennel Fund and you will be guided to the total so far.

Of course, it could not happen without all the support from the members, so keep coming to events and let's keep the momentum going.

I've just had a look at the total and we appear to be almost there, which is a huge achievement. Can we hope to see an announcement soon about shiny new kennels? Having spent a fair bit of their pocket money buying bricks, the hairies are wondering when their homeless cousins will ge their halfway house (well, actually, they're not, they're just wondering if any more of that chicken will find it's way to their dishes).

Well we do have an announcement regarding new kennels - but we are still not there for GAL to own their own just yet.

The committee has been looking in to this in much more detail than the first committee and boy has things obviously changed! The prices for locations, etc is so much higher than we had anticipated. We are still optomistic that one day we will own our own kennels but it may be longer than anticipated.

We hope to have more information on our developments prior to the next AGM. = and have the website updated to include more information in this area!

Thanks for your interest and we hope to update more as we learn more!

Now if anyone wins the lottery and not sure what to buy.... hint, hint!
