Many of you will know that I have a number of difficult hounds. Basically I was their last chance. The difficult ones are doing great - but as always there are relapses. The most recent one was the resut of the local big fluffy terrier rushing towards 3 of my hounds on the local grass open space. It followed us up my garden path so ther was a angry confrontation. That sent my Vince into a fenzy. A fight ensued. R esulting eventualy with my Vince attacking my Tink - grabbing him by the hind leg and shaking it for all it was worth. We were retreating through my front door at the time. So it was dresssing / plaster time with Vince and Tink. My two boys were still not on good terms since their fight 3 months previously It was a life and death situation. I had to batter Vince with a plank of wood to get him to stop fighting. Tink was out cold! Unconscious ! with Vince shaking his neck. I ended up being badly bitten and required hospital treatment and sevaral visits to GP nurse. But hey I don't blame my boys.
But a lesson don't get your arms / legs etc in the way of fighting dogs.
Hi Charles, not spoken to you in ages. I hope you an tink are ok, a nice soft muzzle on Vince at walk time might help lol, poor tink, hope to see you all soon, Rowen & Denise xx
Sorry to here this all happened and hope Tink and you are OK. I have now started carrying a small spray bottle with water in it just in case anything kicks off , don,t know about a full on attack but it will hopefully nip things in the bud at the start. All the very best. Nora

You have all been through the wars, haven't you. Hope you are all on the mend and recovering from your traumas.
It's really not fair when other owners cause problems like this because they won't control their dogs. I had a close encounter of the labrador kind the other day where the owner would not call his dog away from my three (who were all on leads). The girls are ok but Wills will only stand for so much sniffing before he gets bad tempered. Even after a growl and snarl, the owner ignored the fact his dog was annoying mine.
Sounds like my worst nightmare, I remember some awful scraps my last boy got in to, these were ALL caused by someone elses 'off lead' dog having a go at him. One owner offered to kick my boy to make him let go of his dog, I won't print my reply My OH had a nasty experience at the local hospital when his hand got in the way of an encounter, while getting treatment he passed out (very embarrassing) I hope you and the hounds are feeling much better now
Charles sorry to hear of this incident, and hope you and your hounds heal quickly. It sounds a horrible time, and it helps us all learn when we hear of this things how easily thing happen.
Hope you're all on the mend and that the incident hasn't left any scarring (physical or mental) for any of you. You do a grand job with your pack and I admire you dedication.
