Noticed yesterday that Cas was a bit stiff on her left back leg then when asking her to sit for her dinner last night she was reluctant to sit. Today I came home from work and noticed a swelling on her back left leg. I phoned the vet and took her along this evening and the diagnosis is that she has pulled a muscle in her back leg and she has been given anti-inflammatorys and have to see if the swelling goes down over the next two days, if not she will have to go back for full examination and a possible scan. I will keep everyone updated on her progress. Thank you Nora P.S. Cas does not like having her legs looked at and will need to be sedated for just the examination as she becomes very upset and aggressive, poor love.

The swelling has went down on Cassies leg and she seems to be a bit more like herself. She has 4 more days of tablets so hopefully that should sort things out. Thank you to every one for your concern. Nora

Cas finished her course of tablets on Friday sadly I noticed that yesterday evening her leg has swollen again. The vet has put her on seven day course this time but if there is no signifigant improvement then they will have take her in and sedate her for a proper examination. Lets just hope it clears up and I do not have to put her through that. Nora

Cas was back at the vet to-day. Sedation was given and a full examination of her back leg was done, they have decided it is indeed a pulled muscle and she has been taken off the anti-inflammatorys and too stay on lead rest building up the excercise weekly. I still have to keep an eye on things to make sure the swelling does not come back because if it does she have to go back on medication. In herself she is fine, and she has had her toe nails clipped. She has now had her dinner and is lounging on my daughters bed, spoiled or what ? Nora
