Finally booked into the vets
Permalink Closed

Well hubby has finally got a holiday off of work to take Summer to the Vets to get dressed and microchipped. She's booked in for next Thursday at William Tagues. While she's in we'll be popping off to a pet shop to get her some special treats biggrin.gif and there'll be lots of huggles waiting for her, hehe. Will let you all know how she gets on.

I'm sure summer will be fine, the kennel dogs used to go Mr.Tagues and they were well looked after,we found having to leave here about 7-15am a bit awkward though so all the kennel dogs go to my vet Cath Wilson at Kibarchan. It's only about twenty minutes away, and it means a shorter trip to collect them afterwards.Good luck to summer we'll be thinking of her,and you!.

Rachel.

Hope summer gets on ok and there are lots of treats stockpiled in the cupboard to aid her convalescence! aww.gif

all of my foster boys have been at Tagues at one point or another; the vets are lovely and they have a really good knowledge of greys, so she'll be in good hands.

Big licks and hugs to Summer and Cas says if she wants a hand to eat any treats she is more than happy to come over and share. Summer will be fine and be home with you in no time. smile Nora

Spoonie was a seasoned customer at Tagues, that's where he used to go for his arthritis meds. smile.gif

Well Summer was at the vets yesterday to get spayed and chipped and a manicure. She was totally unphased by the whole thing. I thought we'd have a fight on our hands getting ehr through the door but nope, she just trotted right in with her nose glued to the carpet sniffing about biggrin.gif. Everything went well, she came round quickly and she's to go back on Saturday for her post op check. As normal vet suggested something light adn easy to digest for her t when we got home so I made up some scrambled egg but figured she wouldn't be that hungry, how wrong was I? Scoffed down in seconds he he. I think we'll be giving this months walk in strathie park a miss just to let her wound heal, but we'll def be at the Christmas show with her.

I'd be glad to tell you what I can. I thought I'd be a mess too but seeing as Summer was so 'keen' to go with the vet (she never even gave us a second look when we were leaving) I was fine. I kept myself busy for the day with a good bit of retail therapy. One thing I will say though is make sure you either have good ventilation or a clothes peg for your nose for the day after Bess's op. Because Summer never really ate anything yesterday except her scrambled egg for t she seems to be full of wind today and boy are they smelly he he.

All went well at the post op check. Not even a yelp or whimper getting her temperature taken. Due back next Saturday to get her stitches out. she's back to her usual energetic ways of lounging about all day on the futon hehe. She's been lapping up all the extra huggles over the weekend.
