ANyone know a decent sparkie in Edinburgh?

I give up. I've had no heating or hot water since getting back from US last Wednesday and the company who've been promising to come and sort it cancelled again tonightfurious.giffurious.giffurious.gif
They did send an electrician round on Friday who identified the cable which needs replaced but wouldn't do it because its behind the gas fire. Still charged me over £90 though.
Since then I've been waiting for their Corgi guy, who was coming on Friday afternoon/Friday evening/Sat morning etc etc - you get the picture.
Thank goodness I have a 5-stone hot water bottle to snuggle on the sofasmile.gif
Anybody know any decent sparkie/central heating guys in Edinburgh who actually return you calls and turn up!!
Marie

NOTE if you ever see a firm in the phonebook called ACE Maintenance Ltd, invoice name Home Glow, from Coatbridge promising a one hour response anywhere in Scotland, don't believe a word of itevileye.gif

Have no idea about a sparkie but our plumber/central heating guy was blooming fantastic and have used him a few times he's an honest bloke and reasonably priced. Is in pentcaitland so don't know whether he'll come out to Edinburgh but if he doesn't maybe he will know some one who does?

Hope you sort it soon

What a nightmare. Hope you get it sorted soon. Can't help on names/numbers unfortunately (on West coast) but have had similar experiences with plumbers in the past! furious.gif

Thanks to Amanda, I now have heat, have been able to soak in a long bath and Mason is unconscious on the sofa. Funny how central heating works as a sedative on groossmile.gif
Mind you for the last two mornings he has been uncharacteristically keen to leave the house at 7am and get in the daycare van, possibly for some warmth.
Sarah told me today that despite having his fleece coat on all day he still insisted on coming into her wee office (inside the main shed) and lying on the sofa, right beside the heater.
She said he sought out the warmest point closest to the heater and then lay down - blocking the heat from everyone else. He's not daft!
