One of our all time favourite dogs has come to staybiggrin.gifBert is here until the 24th of Nov.,then he and Smokey start their new life in Portugal with their mum and dad,their mum and dad Bill and Carol left for Portugal today and Bill returns on the 24th to collect the dogs and take them overseas,I'm taking the cowards way out and going to the xmas show 'cause I know I will cry when I have to say goodbye to my Bertie Buttons,who at this moment in time is lying upstairs in our bedroom!!!smile.gifBert and us go back a long way and he is going to be missed loads,but I know he will win the hearts of everyone who meets him he's really a womans dog, but will have no problems winning everyone over,and lovely old Smokey is a quiet old gentleman who will benefit from the warm dry weather as he has creaky arthritic bones,I know a lot of folk used to board their pets with Bill and Carol at their pet hotel and I thought it would be nice for folks to know how they were getting on.I'm away to make a cuppa now and enjoy every moment I can with Bert.

What very lucky dogs to have owners that not only love them but are willing to survive the sun and relaxed living in Portugal to give them a better life. WOW!!! All the very best to all of them. biggrin Nora

Also great that the owners recognise that the dogs are part of their family and therefore part of their new life abroad. It always upsets me when I hear of dogs looking for a home because their family are moving abroad.

Thanks for all the good wishes,we are actually in Portugal just now and have nearly bought a house.
we have internet facilities at our rented house and hopefully when we come back on 2 dec we will have internet at our new house and I can keep you up to date with our exploits

Bert is looking forward to meeting up with his pal Smokey and of course his mum and dad,I'll never forget my friend Ann going on and on and on at me about Bert and Mr. Spoons and I kept on and on about them and Dave got fed up with my carping on about them I think and moved them here,sadly for Ann her attempts at keeping Bert didn't work out and Bert came back,and look at him now,soon to leave our driech grey wet shores for sunnier climes,jammy bu~~@@,lol,in all seriousness,,we will miss Bert immensly,I know Kathleen Paxton will too,Kathleen takes him to the park every weekend, then gives him a picnic!!she and I had cried our tears of farewell,and he came back!!!but this Saturday is D -Day and we Eddie,Kathleen and myself are dreading it,and I cant' escape to the show as Eddie will be home in the borders to visit his Dad in hospital.I will have to bite my quivering bottom lip and be brave and wish them all bon voyage,and will be online to keep up with their adventures.smile.gifcry.gifheart.gif
