This is one of the favourite winter past time of two of my dogs! They love to loll around on the roof top enjoying the winter sun. The trellis work you can see in the background is one of the many Lulu expenditures. She used to climb on to the roof eaves and then jump on to the neighbours house and then from there to the next house and thus keep an eye on the whole village! Bearing in mind the state of her hind legs I soon put paid to those antics.
Wow, How chilled out do they look, imagine Lulu being an acrobatic building jumper, I bet that amused the villagers, and put your heart in your mouth. I love the beds, I'm going to have to get something like that for the few days of sunshine we get in a year, really handy with them being of the ground. Should be just enough room for four in our garden.

ROLL ON MARCH
One of the most comical things was that, not long after I got Lulu, this little old Spanish lady from a couple of houses away popped round. "A stray dog is coming winding your dogs up" she said. "A stray?" I asked, "I haven't seen any about". The old lady glanced around to make sure nobody was within earshot before saying in a mystified voice "It comes from over the roof tops". Yup it was Lulu!!
Love the photos, these take me back, our German Shepherds enjoyed a similiar passtime when they lived at Punto de Vista in Sorrento, they too had Brandina beds and spent a lot of their time lazing around the bungalow roof in the sun. They also had igloos which I still have. The kennel was started by the late Capt. Iain Gorden Morrison and I inherited it when he passed away he also had a school in Sorrento where he taught Italian students to speak English,so all the dogs understood ,German,English and Italian. Many a puppy went to the Blind school and became Guide Dogs. Thanks for bringing back some happy memories today of all days.
My OH would love to move somewhere warmer, he thinks the dogs are spoilt here but your lot have got it all, and the sun as well. He's still mumbling to himself about 'injustices'
