What is it with JD and Mud?!
Permalink Closed

I honestly don't understand it. I was walking a very lovely border collie today and JD came with me. We went to the pet shop to pick up some salmon treats (ohhhh get us eh?) and then headed to the park for a good ole run around. We had been out for a good three hours and after a very good long run in the park it was time for the border collie to head home. She was clean as a whistle. Then I look down at JD who has quite a bit of white on his chest to discover that my little angel has been replaced with a tail wagging completely black dog! I think he found every piece of mud that he could and decided that he was going to let his hair down...not only did he let it down...he got it manky aswell! Oh well what can you do, one look into those brown eyes and I was mush, my little boy loves to get dirty. Not only that but he got soaked aswell. When we got home I used my grans white towel to dry him (I couldnt find anything else, honest, it had nothing to do with it was the first one I put my hand on).

As we speak, JD is completely crashed out and Zak is sound asleep as he was frolicking with the border collie this morning in the park before she headed home.

Awwwww

Yeah, Zak can get muddy. The worst of it is...with JD being a cavalier and his long hair...he leaves a little trail of mud along the floor.

It could be a short dog thing! When I go round one of the fields by the pond, Bella seems to come back with a distinct tide mark half way up her body. The lower half is BLACK from the bog. Lucky she has short hair and a quick dip in the pond cleans her off (only the mud, not the smell) but it must be murder with a cavalierbleh

It is just a Border Collie thing I have two and they are always bogging but with your wee mite trying to follow the collie ,well, what can I say he is lower to the ground therefore more dirt, go with the flow. Sure he scrubs up well. biggrin Nora

I am fortunate that JD has this amazing talent for getting all muddy then the next day he is white again. Although it is the going into my room to find my bed sheets covered in mud because his other favourite thing is to rub himself all over my bed in order to dry himself. He is a little darling really, zak just lays there and it honestly looks as if he is frowning and saying in his head "pups..." its comical.
