Since losing our lovely Mina and then our beautiful Barney we have been very sad. Recently we moved house and once settled we felt something was missing . Along we went to the GAL christmas fair and met Jamie. Next thing we know he was at home with us . (Thanks Denise) He is lovely and very playful. He is taking time to get to know Charlie and I but just follows Erin (our 14 yr old daughter ). Will never stop missing our 2 beloved pets but still plenty of room in our hearts for Jamie.
Welcome on board :), so glad you gave Jamie his forever home in time for christmas, he's such a darling and our Summer has a bit of a soft spot for him he he. Hope to see you at some of the events and walks in the future.
Hi, Thank you sooo much for taking Jamie,he's long been a favourite of ours and we could never understand why he got overlooked time after time,we always hope that when dogs go to events that they will find their forever home and finding out that Jamie had found his was the best news, and just in time for xmas we miss him but know he is where he should be.Give him our love.xx Rachel and Eddie.
You never forget the ones that have passed on; your heart just expands to encompass the new ones.
I am so glad that you have gave Jamie a space in your hearts I am sure that you and he will have a wonderful Christmas.
Claire, what a lovely phrase. It certainly rings true.
Carole & Charlie, I'm so glad for Jamie that he has found his forever home with you. I've met him a few times and he is lovely. Glad for you all too that you have found Jamie. I bet he's made himself at home already. He will certainly bring doggy happiness back into your lives.
Jamie is such a handsome boy. It is great he's got a home just in time for Christmas We'll be looking forward to hearing all your new doggy settling in stories x
Well done Carol, knew you couldnt be without a greyhound for too long. I can personally vouch that Jamie will have a fantastic home as Carol and her family are long time greyhound owners,in fact it was Erin falling in love with our Smokey, and Denises powers of persuasion, that they ended up with 2 ,that must be about 10 years ago. All the best, doubt if our paths will cross as we have now relocated to Portugal,Smokey is lying sunbathing
Whoever described Jamie as quiet must have been deaf !!! If we get up during the night to "wee" you cannot flush as he will hear you and howl. He barks when he wants to play, he throws his own ball and loves to churn up the grass in the back garden. He has settled in well, although still has some aggression toward other dogs when out walking. He also growls at Charlie if strangers come into the house. Follows us about and loves to help with emptying the rubbish bins and cooking the dinner(under my feet). All in all we love him dearly and he is so affectionate, so far I have resisted allowing him upstairs.
love all this stuff, postings about beautiful Jamie and Eugene,it's so great to hear how they are getting on,thanks for taking him.We knew he wasn't quiet.lol
I love your comment about not being able to flush - I must confess to laughing out loud! I can just picture this howling dog wanting your attention - brilliant (although probably not for you!!) It's good to hear he is doing well
