Christmas Party's
Permalink Closed

So it is again that time of year for the obligatory Christmas Party. My work had theirs last Friday and despite being a bit distracted with Tara and her operation I had a good time. Managed to wear an outrageous outfit (designed and made by me), that everyone thought was even better than last years. It did get the odd strange/ott comment though. I also drank a fair bit, danced lots and generally was sociable with work colleagues.

The one thing missing any gossip and that is unusual for us lot.

So who has been to a Christmas party so far, any gossip? Or are you still waiting for the party.

Claire

P.S. Wondering if we should have a GAL one next year.

I'm being dreadfully anti-social and missing mine this year. Drank too much last year and the pole dancing memories still won't go away... Still, a GAL one sounds like fun!

My Christmas party is tomorrow night, being 'the boss' I know I won't be pole-dancing. Mason is having a sleepover at daycare though so I don't have to worry about getting him home, walkin etc...how lucky am Ibiggrin.gif

Marie,i'm sure as you are the boss you can let your hair down a bit!,after all you can always wave a few dismissal notices under peoples noses if they speak out of turn.LOLbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gifOr expose their bad behavior in the papers perhaps I can just see the headlines now:ashamed.gif.

You can't go wrong with a LBD. Given it says festive I would team it up with a bit of tinsel round the hem or neck (depending on the dress style) in a colour to match your jewelery. At our work party the finance girls all did this in coordinating colours.

As a boss as well you just have to make sure that your staff behave worse than you do normally achieved by buying them a few drinks. I have some great photos of my guys dirty dancing. But to be fair my work has the sorts of parties where people are expected to let their hair down.

I'm not going to elaborate on the pole dancing but I will tell you about my sister's night out last week (company to remain nameless!). They were all given a sheet about avoiding sexual harrassment on their arrival but a couple of drunken hours into the night, they were taken to a strip club by the boss who insisted that even the female staff attend!

PS. Speaking of Christmas. The Young Enterprise Trade Fair is on in the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow from 10-4pm Sat (tomorrow) if anyone is looking for unusual stocking fillers. I call my school's offering sh*** in a bag - but don't let that put you off!
