We were walking through the wood as normal and there was a dead mouse/vole lying on the path. today she gently picked it up as she walked by bleh.gif.

Walked her home Got in the gate, turned to put the latch on and when i turned back she'd dropped it

I think they do the present thing like cats. We have a resident dog at the shelter, Lady, who is the best ratter ever known. We always know if she has caught anything overnight as when we arrive in the morning she is sitting by the gate whining and shaking from head to foot. When we then investigate the volunteer's coffee room (where she sleeps on a sofa) we find a neatly presented rat placed next to her food bowl. She is so proud of herself when this happens.

my ally found a dead mouse and decided to pick it up and keep it in her mouth but i managed to open her jaws and throw it away, very strange behaviour if you ask me...
