A pupil (sensible!) said today when she saw the poster that there is a dog exactly like that in a dog home in Muirhead. She saw a dog fitting this description two weeks ago there. I don't know if this is the Milton kennels you are talking about or not (if it is then it might be the other black greyhound that had been mentioned in earlier posts). She can't remember the name of the kennels but will get back to me on Monday. Muirhead is not very far from Kirkintilloch. If anyone knows the kennels and knows Dev's tattoos then it might be worth a visit.
Hi Went to SSPCA Milton and Cardonald today. No Dev there. Put up poster of Dev at Milton and gave them poster to put up at Cardonald. Were most sympathetic and woman at Milton told me story of 2 Greys again that I mentioned previously. Woman at Cardonald took me in to area at back not open to public just to check no Greyhounds had come in. So hopefully quite a number of them should be pretty familiar with Dev's story by now. The woman at Cardonald was very encouraging saying it was amazing how they could survive even in the awful weather we're having. Always find going to rescue centres very traumatic, but today was particularly harrowing as apart from no Dev, there were all these poor wee abandoned Staffies and one of my own dogs is a rescue Staffie/Collie. I know they're not everyone's favourite dog, but please spare a kind thought for these much maligned abused animals.
After what happened to Milo it makes finding Dev all the more desperate. Please let him be safe, I didn't know him but hate to think of any animal, out there and hungry and cold. xxxx
That must've been very hard for you, in York RSPCA when the dog wardens turned up it was either Staff's, Greyhounds or GSD's or mixes of the above, that they brought in. And I worked in a local vets and with every Staff puppy that was brought in at least every second owner was going to breed from her as they make such gorgeous puppies. Was upsetting and frustrating. My Stumpy is greyhound and staff mix, he is quiet and lazy and fast like a grey but is a bit mouthy and much more bouncy and playful than any of my other greyhounds. So my point is I know how much it must've hurt.
